This Privacy Policy explains how Awaken Mind Sports Center (Qatar) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use awakendoha.com and our membership services. By using Awaken, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What We Collect

Information you provide

• Account details: full name, email address, phone number, and password (passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text).
• Payment details: processed entirely by SkipCash. We do not see, store, or have access to your card number, CVV, or expiry. We only receive a payment confirmation and a payment ID.
• Communications: if you email us for support, we retain those messages.

Information collected automatically

• Membership data: plan type, subscription start and end dates, payment history.
• Technical data: our hosting provider (Vercel) logs basic information such as IP address and browser type for security and performance reasons. We do not use this data to identify individuals.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Process payments and confirm your membership.
• Provide access to the video library and members area.
• Send transactional emails: welcome messages, payment confirmations, renewal reminders, and account notifications.
• Respond to your support questions.
• Improve our service and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

3. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with the service providers that make Awaken possible. Each is bound by their own privacy policy and security practices:

• Supabase — stores your account data and member information.
• Vercel — hosts the website and processes web requests.
• SkipCash — processes your payments.
• Vimeo — hosts and streams our video content. Vimeo may collect playback data.
• Resend — sends our transactional emails (welcome, payment, renewal reminders).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of Awaken or others.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you logged in and to maintain your session. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking, or analytics that profile individual users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep (such as financial records for tax or accounting purposes, typically retained for the period required by Qatari law).

6. Your Rights

You can at any time:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential communications (none are sent by default).

7. Security

We use modern security practices including encryption in transit (HTTPS/SSL), encrypted password storage, and row-level security in our database to ensure that one member's data is never accessible to another. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Children

Awaken is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will remove the account.

9. International Data

Some of our service providers (Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Vimeo) may process data on servers outside Qatar. By using Awaken, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed in countries with different data protection laws than Qatar.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our service evolves. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email.
